Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight D. Eisenhower was a very good president. I’m going to tell you six important things about Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was in charge in of the D-day invasion. He ended the Korean war. He balanced the budget. That means he did not over spend the United States’ money. Also he signed the Civil Rights Act that allowed African Americans to vote. He had the interstates built in America. Also he kept America at peace during his entire presidency. So those are my six important facts about Dwight D. Eisenhower.

    • It happened June 6, 1944, during World War II. America, Canada and Britain worked together to keep Hitler from taking over Europe. The attack pushed Germany out of France and helped end the war.
