The Right Thing

by Faith C.

On a cold fall day I was riding my bike home from school. I was almost home and then all of the sudden I heard a lady yell, “Help me I can’t get up!” So I dropped my bike and went over. An old lady was laying on the ground by her fence. She said to me, “Go get my neighbor to help me.” I was sad that she was hurt and in pain. I wanted to cry. But I decided to go knock on the neighbor’s door to get help. So I said to him, “Can you please help your neighbor?” It made me feel better when the man picked up the lady and took her back to her house. In my heart I knew that I did the right thing even though it made me a little bit nervous at the time.
