My Garden has some Roses
With sharp thorns and pricks
At a distance they seem lovely,
But look close – you’ll see their tricks.

My Garden has some Dandelions
That are simple weeds
Difficult to rid from the ground
Choking my life with selfish seeds.

My Garden has some Daffodils
Beautiful and Elegant
I don’t always see them
But they are Humble – Never arrogant.

They find a place within my Heart
That one can only Mend
With the Love and Companionship
Of a Perfect and True Friend.
