The baker had gambled with the duke,
And his opponent got a fluke
And he lost the bet
And now was in debt.
And if he could not pay his bill
He the nasty duke would kill.
Baker went to the king in his robe so handsome
And asked the wonderful king for a ransom.
If the king didn’t the duke would take Baker’s head,
So he gave Baker money and killed duke instead!”
